Beautiful-Tree_opt beforeaftertreetrim

Hey everyone expo50 here and today I want to talk about what makes a tree service company great?

Because we are in the Prom season, many parents and kids are calling up limos and its also fall so ordering tree service as well to get rid of dead trees before winter but beware not all tree service companies were created equal even if the website shows same vehicle as other companies.

When you are looking for best Tree trimming in Wilmington there’s few things to watch out for so you know you are picking the right one.

  1. They have to be licensed and insured: this gets many people dumbfounded but the truth is many tree service companies out there are operating without a license or being insured. It costs thousands of dollars per month to have some of these vehicles insured and many owners out there do try to get by without proper licensing. That’s just the reality of the tree service industry and you have to take your pick carefully to find the reputable company in your area. There’s always at least few that are truly exceptional in every area.

  1. They have to have fairly new vehicles: You may be browsing online for tree service in Wilmington and you come across many sites with the incredible boom trucks and tree stump grinders and you assume they are a great company..

  1. Pick a company that is respectful: It is true that you will call some tree care companies and you like the person on the other end and they seem honest and reputable, while you call some other company and it feels like you are talking to someone that doesn’t care. Well chances are that the first company well give much better service for your event. You have to remember that its not just the vehicle you are renting but everything that goes into getting that tree removal & climbers prepared for your special day. This means that the company has to be owned by a great owner that manages everything like its their child. Chances are if they come off as people that’s not that interested in serving you, even if you get a better price you will get far inferior service. But these things are not black and white, this is where you should use your gut instinct when talking to these companies.

I highly recommend: wilmingtontreecare.com

For all the tree care owners out there in Wilmington, this should serve as a warning if you are lacking in any of these areas to pick your game up and nail these core principles down because this is how the top dogs are being successful in this industry. If you hired someone to take the phone calls, give them a break for a day, and you try handling the calls, you might be surprised how much more leads you will begin closing right away. As an owner (you should) fight for every lead and follow up to acquire those leads.

If you are consumer looking to invest in a great tree removal, let this article serve as a reminder to do your due diligence when picking your company. In my last article, I wrote about a particularly tree service company before.

Do it yourself Tree Trimming? Is it worth it?

If you are a do it yourselfer there are many tools to aid you in tree trimming. Which surprisingly are not that hard to use or learn how to use. Here is a few tools that will take care of most if not all your tree trimming needs. Each item can be bought or rented from your local hardware or home improvement store. Save a couple of dollars and learn to do something new by trimming your tree yourself.

Pole Tree Pruner: This is long pole usually fourteen feet long. At the end is a serrated blade about a foot long. And attached to it is a cord. This is tool is used for small to medium sized trees. It allows the person to trim the tree without using a ladder. So you would stand on the ground with the pole reach up to the tree with the blade. When you come to a part you would like cut just pulled the cord and cut the limb. It’s simple and easy to use. A good investment for anyone.

Chain saw: When we think of chain saw we often envisioned a monstrous gas powered one. But there are other type of saws. For the basic do it yourselfer an electric or battery power chain saw will work great. Both are easy to use, handle, and start. Just plug and go. But remember an electric chain saw will have a cord. If the space you are working is that big or you have an extra-long extending cord then this type of chain saw will work great for you. But if you need to move around a lot. Or the space is so big that no cord would reach. Or maybe you just don’t want to be encumbered by a cord then choose the battery operated one. Either one will be great addition to anyone’s tool shed.f

Wood chipper: After you finish trimming what are you going to with all those limbs? You could bundle them up and placed by the curb for your city to remove them (check with your local government to see if and when this service is available). Or you could invest in a wood chipper. What’s a wood chipper? Well it fed limbs, braches, basically wood and it cuts the wood into small pieces or chips. Then you can used this as mulch around your flower beds and yard. If you can’t afford to buy one of these then look into renting one from your local home improvement store. What a great way to reuse those limbs and branches. And save you money.

These tools can start to add up but remember they are an investment. Don’t forget to check out garage and yard sales. You may score a great deal on any one of these items. Also check online on different sites that sell items.

Sometimes Professional Tree Service is the best route…

When using any of these tools read the owner manual and wear all safety gear. This includes, safety glasses, work gloves, and whatever else you feel you need to feel safe. If for any reason you start to feel unsure or doubt yourself. Do not hesitate to call a tree service company. They will have the knowledge and expertise to help with your trees.

Welcome & Review of Tree Trimming Services

Welcome to Expo50, we review local businesses like tree service, roofers, deck builders, garage repair & more so that our readers can make a more informed decision whenever they need this type of work done for their home.

First Review: Tree Service

Sometimes you see some wacky things in front of people’s houses involving the remains of trees. It’s like some homeowners will do anything to avoid paying for tree removal or tree stump removal.

Over by my house there is one tree, it’s really just a tree stump, that the owners painted white and put some little accessories on to make it look like a lighthouse. I’ve seen other people dodge the tree stump removal fee by having their stump cut into some artistic shape and make it look like a bear or an eagle or whatever.

Trimming Tree is Art

It really doesn’t make sense to me, because if you’re taking the time and spending the money to have an arborist come out and do a little tree trimming to get the thing trimmed down to the stump why not just have the whole tree stump removed? Or if you are going to pay some sort of chainsaw artist to come do a little tree care and trim your tree up into a piece of art, why wouldn’t you have the interest in tree care in the first place and keep the danged tree healthy?

Every once in awhile I see some wacky do it yourself jobs in tree removal and stump removal. People chain their pickup truck up to the stump and do their own stump removal which may or may not result in the bumper being ripped off of their car. I know it’s not the cheapest thing in the world to have a team of arborists come over and do their tree trimming thing or bring along a woodchipper for hire but there’s a point where you’re investing more time and money just to do it yourself. People need to take a step back and learn when it’s time to let the professional tree trimmer do their job, like a true pro like Steven Seagal

Sometimes I also wonder why exactly people get tree removal done at their house. They have a huge, healthy tree in the yard and maybe their getting the tree trimming done because they don’t want leaves in their gutters? Or maybe they don’t feel like raking? Or maybe they had the tree service come by and rip it out because they didn’t want bird poop on their car? It sounds a little silly to me because a tree keeps a house shaded in the summer time and can dramatically reduce the summer heat and AC costs.

Me, I bet the only time I’m going to call for tree trimming or tree removal from a professional tree service would be if the thing is rotting away and it’s about to crush the roof of my house. Otherwise, I’m going to just do my own tree care and try to keep the thing healthy and happy and have it shade my house. No arborist is coming by my house unless I absolutely need something done. We’re talking storm damage to trees or maybe rotting tree removal. None of this trimming so I can see the street crap. I don’t want to see traffic or people in front of my house, I want a healthy and manicured tree that has been taken care of with my own personal tree service.

Stay tuned and we will be reviewing more industries on this blog.
